Evolving Leadership from the Inside Out
Like ripples generated from a pebble dropped in water, leadership starts with the self. Impact is felt from the inside out starting with the leader him/herself then rippling to the outer levels, to the leadership team, then to the manager level and ultimately throughout the organization and into the community.
Our engagements take a holistic approach, assessing the need and the impact of leadership on the organizational system. Only when these levels function in tandem can there be meaningful, sustainable and generative success.
In general, coaching will develop long-term excellent performance in your endeavors. Developmental coaching goes through three phases.
- You become self-aware. The first step in developing your leadership potential is to become of aware of your internal landscape, to understand your patterns of thought and to explore your beliefs and assumptions. This is awakening leadership from the inside out.
- You become self-correcting. You will be able to observe when you are performing well and when you are not. By working with new practices you will be able to make any necessary adjustments on your own.
- You become self-generating. You will continually find ways to improve your performance on your own by practicing more, by watching others perform, by engaging new thought processes and learning new activities that will strengthen your competence or gain new ones.
